Are you a capex procurement professional looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative global engineering firm? This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven procurement professional with expertise in the area of technical Capex and Tooling equipment to join a growing global team. As the Strategic Procurement Manager for Capex & Tools you will oversee a spend of over €70M across several European facilities in the region, playing a key role in developing and implementing best in class souring and supplier management strategy.

Your primary responsibilities as Strategic Procurement Manager - Capex & Tools will include:-

• Provide subject matter expertise related to local and regional market conditions, technologies and services to support the global procurement team with risk management and decision making
• Work closely with the Global Commodity Director of Capex & Tooling and Global Head of Indirect Procurement to develop and implement local and regional sourcing strategy
• Manage supplier selection and preferred supplier list for the region and drive compliance across all relevant plants
• Deliver an exceptional cost and budget management strategy aligned with global targets
• Deploy an effective supplier performance management strategy to ensure optimal cost, performance and delivery from preferred suppliers

To be suitable for the Strategic Procurement Manager - Capex & Tools you should have the following skills and experience:-

• Technical commodity experience in the area of Capex & Tooling within an Automotive, Machinery or similar Engineering environment; knowledge of assembly line robotics is highly desirable
• Experience in creating and implementing category strategy for multiple sites at a regional level
• Excellent Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) skills and experience in developing effective supplier monitoring and performance tools
• Ability to work as part of a multi-national and multi-cultural team in a matrix-structured environment
• Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline; specialised purchasing qualifications highly desirable

As the Strategic Procurement Manager - Capex & Tools you will play a key role in managing a highly technical spend area with high cost pressures. You will utilise your skills and expertise to negotiate optimal terms with suppliers to ensure best value and performance delivery.
