Note: This position is based in London and will require relocation.

This leading international pharmaceutical major is seeking a subject matter expert in the field of generic drug distribution to join its growing global team. As the Generics Procurement and Supplier Relationship Manager you will be taking over a high-performing procurement team with the aim of delivering maximum value to the company's generics portfolio through optimizing the relationship with key global drug manufacturers.

This role will require an expert knowledge of the generics manufacturing sector and of the drug distribution networks to be able to effectively evaluate bids and track supplier's performance. You will be the key interface to the senior leadership of the organization to effectively execute the business' global strategy.

Alongside your sourcing and supplier relationship management activities you will also handle several strategic projects such as delivering process excellence programs, implementation of new sourcing ideas and optimization of business operating models.

As the Generics Pharma Procurement & Supplier Relationship Director you will be required to:-

• Implement effective negotiation and sourcing strategies to secure the best suppliers at optimal value
• Track and manage supplier performance to ensure consistent delivery
• Utilise data analytics to identify market opportunities and risks
• Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team
• Provide deep subject matter expertise in all matters relating to generics drug manufacturing and distribution
