Facilities Management Category Buyer - £40K + Excellent Package - Central London

In this leading property services firm, the facilities management category is essential and critical to ensure the firm's ongoing success. If you are a procurement professional who has experience across the whole FM category, including hard and soft services, then this could be a fantastic career move for you.

Currently undergoing a huge expansion, my client seeks am ambitious individual to start the growth of their procurement function. Reporting directly to the head of procurement, you will oversee all FM related procurement processes, and be responsible for implementing and devising new strategies and relationships with suppliers. Essentially, you will be responsible for creating a new direction for this firm's procurement function. With plans to hire more in the team, you will have the opportunity to progress your career and guide more junior staff on processes set in place by you, as you advance into more senior roles with a heightened responsibility.

You will be based in their dynamic HQ in Central London, where you will work as second in command to the head of procurement. The salary on offer is £40,000, alongside a brilliant package consisting of a 12% bonus, matched pension, flexible working, and more! The Indirects Category Buyer will be responsible for:

• Managing a £30 Million spend alongside the Head of Procurement across multiple FM categories, including HVAC, Security Services and Construction Services
• Being pivotal in the construction, maintenance, and ownership of a supplier catalogue for FM related products and / or services
• Successfully managing relationships with new and existing suppliers, communicating effectively on a day-to-day basis, and reviewing performance regularly
• Engaging with company initiatives by striving for continuous improvement and success within the procurement function and wider organisation

Required Background for the Indirects Category Buyer:

• 2 years+ commercial experience working as a Procurement Buyer gaining a strong understanding of FM category buying, with knowledge of system implementations within the procurement space, such as SAP, GEP, Wax Digital, and Coupa
• Impressive FM or Construction Procurement track record, with a CV clearly demonstrating personal achievements and experience in processes such as online auctions and SRM
• Experience of overseeing procurement processes, including RFI, Tender processes and handling high purchasing values and complex contracts
• A degree education and other qualifications, including CIPS are desirable
