Energy/Commodity Trading Consultants & Managers - £50-100k

Boutique, award winning and specialist management consultancy with 700 employees seeks 5 x energy trading / commodity trading management consultants to join their Central London HQ.

My client is a British founded and headquartered business, founded 15 years ago in London and made up predominantly of very bright management consultants, often from Big 4 consulting backgrounds. Regarded as the market leading energy / commodity trading management consultancy in the UK and also Northern Europe, my client has grown, winning many awards, boasting many of the largest commodity trading clients and best culture, having a best in class retention of staff and staff well-being strategy.

To help them with their on-going growth and delivery to key clients in the UK and Europe, they seek up to 5 new Energy / Commodity Trading Consultants, Senior Consultants and Managers, ideally with some previous client facing / consulting experience, although this isn't essential. You will be working across Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Power, Emissions, LNG, Metals, Agricultural & Soft Commodities, so you'll need to be happy to widen your commodi8ty trading knowledge.

My client are not a techy consultancy, they specialise in functional energy / commodity trading advisory projects, so they don't hire developers or other techies, instead hiring Business Analysts / Consultants, who may even come from Trader, Risk Management or Product Control related roles. You'll work with Oil & Gas Majors, leading commodity trading houses, investment banks and utilities on all problem and business improvement related issues which include: Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Regulation & Compliance, ETRM / CTRM vendor selection and systems integration which may include some implementation, although this isn't the focus of the role.

Salaries are markedly higher than the Big 4 consultancies, as they often take from the Big 4 so basic salaries will range from £50k up to £100k basic for Consultants, Senior Consultants and Managers with 10-20% bonuses on top.

Key Skills Sought:

• Strong energy / commodity trading experience working in any commodity ideally across Front, Middle & Back Office Analytics
• Knowledge of some of: Blockchain, AI, ETRM / CTRM software, Regulation and Compliance
• Previous client facing / management consulting experience preferably working for a Big 4 or other tier one consultancy would be ideal but is not needed
• Excellent presentation, people and problem solving skills are essential
• Strong academics including 2:1 or 1^st class degrees (or equivalent) from a leading university
• UK or other EU passport is essential as my client can't and won't sponsor visas
