Big 4 Management Consultancy - Commodity Trading Consulting Manager or Senior Manager
I'm working on an exclusive mandate for a "Big 4 management consultancy" to hire a Commodity Trading Consulting Manager and/or Senior Manager into their UK business although this can be a 100% remote based role with travel to client site (post Covid restrictions) so you could be based anywhere in the UK or Ireland, although there will be a need to spend some time, maybe 1 day every few weeks in London.
Joining their Commodity Trading Advisory management consulting business unit, my client is looking to hire an exceptional Commodity Trading Consulting Manager or Senior Manager to help lead and grow their commodity trading business. My client is one of the largest and most prestigious firms on the planet (they're a Big 4 consultancy), a house-hold blue-chip name/brand, with a reputation for excellence, hiring the brightest and best people from graduate right up to Partner level. They already have a global network of Commodity clients that includes several major investment banks, utilities, energy majors (including the super majors) and commodity trading houses but this role will be targeted on UK, Middle Eastern (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) and Singapore based clients, although there will be very limited travel now and after Covid restrictions lift, as the consulting work will mainly be based from home or the office.
Your role will be a mix of delivery (roughly 70% delivering and managing client engagements), 15% internal practice management/leadership (including staff development, strategy direction, hiring etc) and 15% business development (generating new clients and revenue), although you can grow into the business development part of the role. You will be joining a specialised Commodity Trading advisory practice so it is 100% essential that you have a proven and extensive track record in commodity trading either working for a commodity trading house, ECTRM software vendor or a rival advisory consultancy. This is NOT an IT role, it is a pure business advisory consulting position, but they have had some great hires coming from ECTRM consulting and transitioning into commodity trading advisory consulting, using their strong business knowledge and wider understanding of how IT can help commodity trading businesses.
This could be an excellent opportunity for someone at Senior Consultant, Manager or Senior Manager grade looking to step up and take on greater responsibility in a rapidly growing practice.

Salary will vary depending on the seniority of the applicant, but they pay approximately 20% more than their Big 4 consulting rivals across all levels, as look to source the best talent from direct competitors as well as outside and also invest heavily in training and professional development, which includes financially sponsoring and supporting studying for MBAs.
Basic/package: £70,000 - £100,000 basic + 20% bonus + excellent benefits
