Associate Director IT Software Procurement - FTSE 100 Conglomerate - Birmingham - £60,000-£70,000 + package

As a result of rapidly increasing market worth, a glamorous FTSE 100 establishment is seeking an IT Software Procurement expert for their Associate Director position in either Birmingham, Leeds, or Manchester. Due to the underdeveloped green-field status of the EMEA procurement function this is a fantastic opportunity for a high-flying IT Sourcing professional to have significant impact and excel towards SVP.

As Associate Director for IT Software Sourcing you will:-

• Represent the Software category to board level, gaining essential buy-in in order to help drive this high-spending division towards being a world-class procurement operation
• Lead large-scale negotiations with market-leading vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP & VMware, whilst building and sustaining strong supplier relationships to reap longer term benefits
• Be involved in the cradle-to-grave procurement process including RFP, RFQ, contract & commercial negotiation, executive stakeholder management and SRM

Due to the high-level of responsibility this leading FTSE 100 requires their Associate Director to have the following:-

• Exceptionally strong procurement knowledge of the IT Software supply market, with a track-record of skilfully handling key supplier relationships such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and VMware
• Extensive experience of leading complex global Software deals, with a CV that lends itself specifically to the Software categories rather than general IT procurement
• The ambition to excel within the immediate position and strive towards SVP and Directorship
• Full working knowledge of the end-to-end sourcing process including RFP, RFQ, contract & commercial negotiation, executive stakeholder management and SRM
• Degree, MBA or country equivalent
• MCIPS or studying towards (preferred but not essential)
